Core Values

We believe sports should not just provide physical benefits to children. Building character through sports allows children to develop leadership skills, focus and teamwork. Our core values are displayed in our gym and become a part of the regular conversation between coaches and athletes.

CORE VALUE #1: Perseverance

Perseverance and discipline through both success and adversity will determine my own level of success.

Supporting and encouraging perseverance and discipline through both success and adversity will contribute to my child’s level of success.

CORE VALUE #2: Respect

Respect for myself will guide my morals and respect for others will guide my manners. I am responsible for myself and my behaviour.

CORE VALUE #3: Investment

To be my best, I am must make an investment in myself, my team, my family, my community, and my future.

With love and support I am investing in my child, myself, my community, and the future.

Positive guidance and encouragement will be an investment in myself, my athletes, my community, and the future.

CORE VALUE #4: Determination

I will try new things with determination. My effort will have a direct impact on the outcome and results.

I will encourage my child to try new things with determination as their effort will have a direct impact on the outcome and results.

I will encourage all athletes to try new things with determination and acknowlegde their efforts as it has a direct impact on the outcome and results.

CORE VALUE #5: Excellence

To achieve excellence I will focus on good health, hard work and the challenges set before me. I will understand that skills must be mastered before progression and that praise and criticism are tools to help me improve and excel.

To help my child achieve excellence I will support him/her as well as coaches. I will understand that my child will be challenged mentally and physically and that skills must be mastered before progression. I will also accept that praise and criticism are tools to help my child improve and excel

In order for my athletes to achieve excellence I will support them and encourage good health, hard work, and provide challenges. I will also challenge myself and stay current with industry trends, skill development, and leadership skills. I will listen to and accept praise and criticism and use them as opportunities to learn and improve as a coach.
